Charles Lamphear has attended Capitol City for 52 years. Outside of serving as an elder, Charles has previously served as a deacon, former treasurer, Board of Directors Chairman, teacher, and youth sponsor. He has also served shut-ins and been part of the grounds crew. Charles earned his B.S., M.S., and PhD from Kansas State University. He retired from UNL, where he was the Karl H. Nelson Professor of Economics, and the Director of the Bureau of Business Research. Charles and his wife Kay have one son, Douglas. In his free time, Charles enjoys woodworking, golf, traveling, and community service.
