Fingerprints Child Development Center Step 5 Quality Rated Program:

Fingerprints Child Development Center has been recognized by Nebraska Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) for its commitment to quality child care and education. We are proud to announce that we have earned a Step 5 rating, which is the highest rating available! This means we are going above and beyond state licensing requirements to better serve the needs of your child(ren) and prepare them for success. All while showing them and teaching them about the love of Jesus! Fingerprints is one of just a few centers in Lincoln with a Step 5 rating! Our Curriculum:

The Gospel Project® for Kids Curriculum immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story and is designed to be developmentally appropriate for each age group we serve. Teachers use it as a framework on which they can build a program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did - in "wisdom and stature “and in "favor with God and man". (Luke 2:52).

Fingerprints use Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum to ensure that our classrooms are engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate. This curriculum delivers academics alongside social-emotional learning and cognitive development. Our Pre-Kindergarten class also incorporates Hooked on Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears to help children build phonemic awareness, learn letter recognition, and understand the association of letters with their letter sounds. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the expectations of the Nebraska Early Childhood Guidelines.

Our Philosophy:

Fingerprints believe that children are uniquely created and gifted in diverse ways. Fingerprints also believe that children should be encouraged and guided as they seek to understand their world. To help them as they grow and explore, we strive to provide a safe, secure, Christian environment. At Fingerprints, children are encouraged to learn and develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.

Education in the early years should excite curiosity, stimulate creativity, expand intellectual thinking, build strong large/small motor skills, create awareness and help each child better understand themselves and the world around them. Fingerprints uses the Pinnacle Faith Based Christian Curriculum and The Gospel Project® for Kids Curriculum. We provide smaller classroom sizes for more individualized attention, developmentally appropriate materials and environments set up with active learning centers. We offer a strong focus on preparing your child for school readiness.

We work as a team with each family in the daily care of their children. We provide open and honest communication with parents each day, helping to reinforce the positive behaviors in each child.
